about

In the immensity of the Château de Chambord, Jasser Haj Youssef gives birth to his new album « Reminiscence », where subtle harmonies meet deep and mystical resonances of the viola d’amore.
The viola d’amore is a rare European baroque stringed instrument that disappeared during the 18th century. Jasser Haj Youssef draws from this instrument a very singular sound by mixing his oriental inspirations with the classical repertoire of Bach or Vivaldi.
The Château de Chambord was created in 1519, inspired by the work of Leonardo da Vinci. It is the emblem of the French Renaissance throughout Europe and the world. This magical place hosted Molière who created his Comedy-ballet « The Middle Class Gentleman ».
Jasser Haj Youssef spent several months in the Château de Chambord to explore, without constraints, the mystery of his viola d’amore and immerse himself in the deepest emotions.
The music he composed and recorded in this castle is a real bridge between East and West, North and South, past and present, spirituality, emotions and nature…
